My work acts as a personal historical record, inspired by the personal websites of the early internet, highlighting often forgotten anomalies of nature and exposing potential avenues for connection across time and space. The whimsical, dream-like, and sometimes nostalgic imagery that I conjure in my paintings reaches to create a world that doesn’t yet exist: a world that reconciles a longing for exceptional individuality and a longing for familial love and belonging. My paintings create a space for the earnest broadcasting of one’s desire to be seen, boldly and without shame, approaching the essence of creative expression.
